Daniel Burgos (Spain, 1970) works as Head of Technology Enhanced Learning Unit in the Research & Innovation Department of ATOS Origin, Spain, since 2007. In addition, he is a lecturer in Technology Enhanced Learning and ICT at the International University of La Rioja. Formerly, he worked at The Open University of The Netherlands (2004-2008) as Researcher and Assistant Professor in Educational Technology, after working fourteen years as a teacher, multimedia developer and academic manager in Europe and South America, also with his own company. His interests are mainly focused on Adaptive eLearning, eLearning Specifications , Learning & Social Networks and Educational eGames, and he is or has been involved in the research projects Stellar, Grapple, Unfold, Learning Network for Learning Design, ProLearn, TenCompetence, EU4ALL, Grapple, NiHao, Kaleidoscope, Suma, Sister, ComeIn, and etcetera. He has written thirteen instructional books about Multimedia and Internet and more than one hundred articles for journals, conferences and professional magazines. In addition he has edited several special issues on Adaptive eLearning. He holds degrees in Communication (PhD), Computer Science (Dr. Ing), Education and Business Administration.
